Abstract

The Bethlehem Lutheran Church collection (1800-1945) largely consists of records of membership, births, confirmations, communion, marriages, and deaths. The collection includes: minutes/family register (1800-1907), written in German, which contains vital statistics as well as church minutes and an index on pages 191-201; a record book (1878-1916), written in German; and a record book (1916-1945).

Scope and Contents

The Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church collection consists of two record books. The first (1848-1928) includes the church constitution and a family register which lists date and place of birth, baptism, sponsors, confirmation, marriage, death, and place of burial. The second volume (1867-1983) contains baptisms, confirmations, marriages, deaths, and a list of pastors.
