Scope and Contents
The Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church collection consists of two record books. The first (1848-1928) includes the church constitution and a family register which lists date and place of birth, baptism, sponsors, confirmation, marriage, death, and place of burial. The second volume (1867-1983) contains baptisms, confirmations, marriages, deaths, and a list of pastors.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The records of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church were transferred to the Center for Archival Collections for microfilming in March 1983 with the cooperation of Rev. Paul Larson, Pastor, and the Genealogical Society of Utah.
