This collection consists of research materials regarding the sinking of the CYPRUS collected by William Forsythe. After the discovery of the shipwreck in 2007, Forsythe conducted extensive research on the history of the vessel, its technology, and its crew. Materials collected include photographs, newspaper and periodical articles, genealogical and burial information on the crew, patent data, and correspondence with other researchers. The research materials are available in both physical and digital formats. Additionally, the collection contains a PowerPoint about the history of the CYPRUS entitled "Remember the CYPRUS", and underwater video footage taken of the wreck upon its discovery in 2007.
