Abstract
The collection contains photographic material, about half of which is identified. The photos were taken by Deegan at concert venues in Ohio during the 1970s and early 80s, and include well-known artists such as Genesis, Devo, U2, and Pere Ubu - among many others. Deegan's diaries contain stories and musings about romance and love affairs; personal and professional goals; tarot card readings and dream journals; and notes on diet and health, often related to her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.

Biographical / Historical
Jacqueline Deegan was born in 1953 and lived most of her life in Kent, Ohio. She worked at Kent State University Library as a billing supervisor, and was also a photographer, psychic and animal lover. Deegan was a dedicated fan of rock music, and attended many concerts in Ohio during the 1970s and 80s. She became friends with a number of rock stars, including Iggy Pop, Bill Bruford and Tim Curry. Deegan suffered from Multiple Sclerosis, which affected her ability to continue her career as a photographer. She died in 2005.
