The collection pretains to Dr. Carol Martin's research into the craze of dance marathons that occured during the early years of the Great Depression. It includes audio and printed interviews, research materials and manuscripts. Also included are a scrapbook and other materials related to Dr. Martin's participation as a historical consultant for the Broadway musical Steel Pier.
This collection will be of interest to those who are also studying 20th century fads, including but not limited to dance marathons.
