Scope and Contents The collection of the Collins United Methodist Church consists of six volumes. There are three record books which provide information on the congregation's membership for the period from 1859 through 1962. Data included in these books cover the succession of church pastors and elders, the baptism of infants and adults, marriages and deaths. Abstract The collection consists of three volumes of record books, dating from the church's establishment in 1836 to 1935. The record books include meeting minutes and membership lists, both of which document the baptisms, marriages, deaths and admittance and discharge of members. The second volume is difficult to read as the ink has greatly faded. A typed transcript of this volume, however, has been completed and it follows the volume on the microfilm. Also included in the collection is one volume of Annual Meeting minutes dating from 1839 to 1932.

Abstract The collection dating from 1821 through 1934, is comprised of Parish Record Books, Parish Registers, Church Building Committee minutes, Financial records, Ladies Aid/Parish Guild minutes, and Women's Auxiliary Society minutes.
