The Skar-Ore Steamship Corp. of Cleveland, OH purchased the vessel from Ships, Inc. in 1960 and renamed it the FALK the following year. A combination logbook/diary kept by Henry D. Johnson while engaged in fishing expeditions in Epoufette Bay on the south shore of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Johnson and his companions traveled to Epoufette in September-October of 1860 and 1861. John recorded the daily catch, demonstrating the high numbers of the fish population in the time period.
