Biographical / Historical

The Redemptorists Fathers established St. Gerard Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio in 1916. The parish's first resident pastor was assigned that same year. Mass was first given in a house on a tract of land purchased by the parish. Their permanent combination church and school building was completed in 1918. In 1964, the parish completed their current church.
