Regina Coeli Catholic Church Parish was created in 1954, when the Parish of St. Catherine grew too large and was divided. Regina Coeli was formed from the northeast section of the St. Catherine Parish.

The first resident pastor for Regina Coeli was Reverend Napoleon Kotz. The parish built its first church in 1955. A school and a convent were also built at the same time. The current church, the second for the parish, was built in 1975 and dedicated in 1976.
