Biographical / Historical
In 1977, Bowling Green State University, with the help of the Center for Archival Collections, funded a project to preserve and organize church records for Wood County, Ohio. These records included directories, minutes, financial statements, attendance records, among other things. Over the course of a year, James L. Angel inventoried all of the information that he received from the churches and compiled it into a resource for historians and scholars to utilize. Along with the book he wrote, Angel also compiled other important items such as newspapers and convinced some of the churches to preserve their records with microfilm, through the help of the CAC.
