Scope and Contents
The bulk of the collection is made up of 269 color photographs of Great Lakes vessels taken by Mark Shumaker from circa 1995-2013. A number of duplicates are present. The balance of the collection consists of Excel spreadsheets detailing the cargo carried on the BLUE RIVER from 1949-1960. Accompanying photographs of the original trip records in Shumaker's possession complement the summary data. Also present is the photographed log for the CARTIERDOC for 1957.

Biographical Sketch
A native of Wauseon, Ohio and a graduate of Bowling Green State University with degrees in graphic design, business, and marketing, Shumaker has over twenty years of experience photographing vessels on the Great Lakes. He also served as the Great Lakes editor of PowerShips magazine (Formerly Steamboat Bill).
