Biographical / Historical

SICSIC was born on October 5, 1946 in the middle of the night in the office of BGSU President Frank Prout. It was conceived as a way to boost school spirit and good will. Since its inception, SICSIC has been composed of 6 members -- two seniors, two juniors, and two sophomores. Members have always worn masks to conceal their identities, which are only known to a select few on campus. Each year there is a senior reveal event where the graduating members are made known. Two new members are selected each year from the freshman class to carry on SICSIC's traditions.

SICSIC activities include posting booster signs across campus, with their trademark slogan "SICSIC sez". At first their activities were done in the middle of the night so as not to be seen. In more recent years, along with the adoption of Halloween-type plastic masks rather than ski masks, SICSIC members are seen in public more often, such as at sporting events where they help cheer on the Falcons.
