Content Description
The Enright and Roller family Papers offer a look into small-town living in Wood County Ohio. It encompasses several families within the Jay Roller and Emma Hampton family line. This collection contains the most information about Dennis and Joan (Roller) Enright, including documentation of his education and service in World War II, and a large amount of family history. These records offer insight to the small town of Haskins, Ohio, where the family has lived for many generations.
Biographical / Historical
This collection primarily documents the lives of the Roller and Enright families of Wood County, Ohio. The collection appears to have been compiled by Fern Joan (Roller) Enright, who was a genealogist and family historian. Several generations of the families are documented; however, the collection centers around Joan (1917-2009) and Dennis (Dennie) York Enright (1920-1994), and the generations immediately adjacent to them. The couple lived for years at 20113 Haskins Road in Haskins, Ohio and had three children, Victoria, Ann, and Carol.
Joan, a graduate of Webster Twp. High School and Bowling Green State University, later worked in Fulton and Lucas Counties as an OSU County Extension Agent and was also a high school teacher at Haskins, Ohio; Blissfield, Michigan; and Penta County Vocational School in Rossford, Ohio. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Conditions Governing Use
Researchers using this collection assume full responsibility for conforming to the laws of libel, privacy, and copyright, and are responsible for securing permissions necessary for publication or reproduction.
Language of Materials
Materials predominately in English, with limited material in German (researching German genealogy folder) and French (French club menu).
Arrangement
The records are arranged in six series: 1. Family history; 2. School Documents for Joan (Roller) Enright; 3. Military Documents; 4. Scotch Ridge Church and Haskins Federated Church records; 5. Legal Documents; and 6. Photographs, Postcards, and other ephemera.
Series 1 has been divided into two subseries. Family group data sheets were created around 1990; however the birth dates range from 1727 until the late nineteenth century. These were left in their original order, but removed from a binder. All other family history documents were arranged in a second subseries.
When a donor-created order was present, this order was retained as much as reasonable. When donor-created order was unclear, organization reflects groupings according to family, thus the dates are often not chronological.
Separated Materials
Several items (approximately .3 cubic feet) were removed from collection for individual cataloging.
Additionally, a limited number of duplicates were removed and discarded.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The collection was donated to the Center for Archival Collections by Ms. Ann Enright Kingsley of Bluffton, Ohio, on March 1, 2024.
