Scope and Contents

The collection consists of baptisms * , first communions, confirmations, Book of the Elect, marriages * and deaths. Due to inconsistencies in pagination and transcription of data, researchers are encouraged to refer to all volumes within each series. Parish History

In 1862, Father Edward Hannin was commissioned by the bishop to organize the St. Patrick parish. It was created to minister to the English-speaking Catholics in the Toledo area. The parish began building their church in March 1862 and it was completed in March, 1864. In 1892, the church building was considered unsafe and the erection of a new church began that same year. This second and current church was completed in 1901. The membership of the parish began strong, but by the 1980's membership was down to 200 members.
