Collection Overview

Abstract

Newsclippings, printed material, photographs, film ("Auto-Lite on Parade") and filmstrips, and phonographic records relating to the Electric Auto-Lite Company and the Prestolite Company, as well as a subject file on the Willys Light Plant. Collection was compiled by Louis J. McGrady (1911-1994), who joined the Electric AutoLite Company as a sales manager in 1950 and was later promoted to director of advertising and public relations at the Prestolite Division of Eltra Corp., retiring in 1976.
