Log of a ship owned by Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Company, possibly written by B.H. Otten while in training on a merchant vessel during World War I with the U.S. Naval Auxiliary Reserves; includes numerous sketches of the Marquette and notes on seamanship along with some printed pamphlets. Ship originally built for the Dearborn Transit Company as the E.L. WALLACE and operated by them between 1906 and 1915.
