Association for Applied Sport Psychology records

The Association for Applied Sport Psychology collection is arranged into the following Record Groups: Executive Board, Office Correspondence and Files, Conferences, Subject Files, Committee/Council/Task Force Files, and Publications. These Record Groups are divided into Record Series as described in the Collection Organization.

Constitution 1986 First constitution of the AASP.

Executive Board Minutes and Files October 1985-April 1998, 2004-2010 Arranged chronologically Includes minutes of Board meetings (Spring and Fall) and may include minutes of the annual meeting and conference call minutes. Also may include agenda items such as committee and officer reports and correspondence. Inclusion of agenda items or lack of minutes so noted in the inventory.

Officer Correspondence 1991-1997 Arranged chronologically Includes correspondence mostly of the president regarding the work of AASP and its relationship with other organizations.

Treasurer Reorts and Files 1986-1998 Arranged by topic and within chronologically Includes financial and budget reports compiled by Treasurer. Also includes tax information and reports filed with the IRS and insurance correspondence and policies.

Legal Counsel 1992-1996 Arranged chronologically Includes correspondence and opinions of the AASP legal counsel.

Conferences 1986-1998, 2004-2010 Arranged chronologically Includes programs and abstracts. May also include some planning files and reports on site selection.

Regional Symposium 1993, 1995, 1996 Arranged by region and within chronologically Includes programs of symposium held by various regions within AASP.

Archives and History 1994 Arranged chronologically Includes correspondence and reports compiling the history of AASP and developing the AASP archives.

Awards 1993-1997 Arranged chronologically Includes correspondence and selection/awarding information for the Dorothy V. Harris Memorial Award and the Dissertation Award.

Grant Awards 1994-1997 Arranged chronologically. Includes correspondence and selection/awarding information for AASP research grants.

Commitee/Council/Task Force Files 1988-1998 Arranged alphabetically by name of group and within chronologically Includes minutes, correspondence and reports of the various committees, several which began as ad hoc committees or task forces. Also includes minutes, correspondence and reports of the Fellows and Sport Psychology Council.

Journal and Graduate Programs Directory Correspondence 1991-1998 Arranged chronologically Includes correspondence and agreements regarding the publication of the AASP Journal and the Graduate Programs Directory.

Newsletters 1986-2004, 2006-2010 Arranged chronologically Includes the published AASP newsletters which describe the activities of the organization and its officers and members. Missing issues noted on the inventory.
