L. Edward Kime papers

The L. Edward Kime papers offer a view into Bowling Green State University (BGSU) from 1950 to 1974. As a student and a photo-journalist for several organizations on campus, the Kime papers contain minutes and correspondence for the Alumni Center Planning Committee and printed material for events across campus. The collection features a pamphlet and schedule for Freshman camp, a playbill for “Romeo and Juliet” and “Thunder Rock,” a newspaper clipping for President Ralph W. McDonald’s pep rally speech in 1951, a clipping for the naming of Prout Chapel in 1951, and a program from President McDonald’s inauguration. The collection includes photographic prints and negatives for Freshmen Camp at Lake St. Mary State Park, Ohio, photos of Frank and Alice Prout, photos of couples attending Greek formals, and 1950 campus aerial photos. The aerial photos and building photos feature Prout Chapel, University Hall, and the student cafeteria.
