The Gaugler, Wise Family Collection contains primarily clippings, printed materials, and some photographs relevant to these Bellevue, Ohio area families and their community. Of particular interest is some historic information about Simon Peter Gaugler a Bellevue photographer. (See the Charlotte Buyer Collection MS-392 which houses some original photographic images of Bellevue possibly attributed to S.P. Gaugler). Mr. Gaugler’s daughter, Edith, married Frederick Schanck of Georgia. Schanck family genealogies predominate in the collection.
