The parish of St. Vincent de Paul was canonically erected on March 5, 1928. Reverend Francis A. Slattery was appointed the first pastor of this parish in 1928. By May of 1928, the parish had already completed their first church building. The parish school was completed in the summer of 1928. The church was enlarged in 1956 to accommodate the growing number of individuals that attended mass.

In December of 1967, the parish began building a new church. The church was not completed until May of 1969 due to strikes and delays.
