Logbook of Henry D. Johnson at Epoufette Bay, MI
A combination logbook/diary kept by Henry D. Johnson while engaged in fishing expeditions in Epoufette Bay on the south shore of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Johnson and his companions traveled to Epoufette in September-October of 1860 and 1861. John recorded the daily catch, demonstrating the high numbers of the fish population in the time period.

LUCY NEFF logbook
The Lucy Neff was a wooden vessel built at West Bay City, Michigan in 1893 as the W.P. Ketcham; renamed the Lucy Neff in 1902 and served in the coastal trade; foundered during a storm on December 17, 1915. This logbook details a difficult voyage from Detroit San Francisco, winter-over for repairs in Maine, and another voyage down the coast and to California, covering 1907-1908.
