MC. Manuscript Collections

The collection (1831-1991) consists of record books, minutes, church histories and newsclippings all of which provide details on the life of this church and its members.

Church record books with membership records, baptisms, marriages, deaths, lists of pastors and officers, financial records, a church history and a scrapbook.

Minutes, membership records, correspondence, financial documents, news clippings, and programs of a local parent teacher association affiliated with Conneaut School in Bowling Green, Ohio.

The Collection includes publication files, financial files, subscription files, correspondence and a complete set of Connections published 1978-1983.

Minutes, membership lists, treasurer's reports, bank books, and programs of this women's literary and social club.

The collection consists of baptisms, 1971-2001, first communions 1971 - 2001, confirmations 1982 - 2001, marriages, 1971 - 2000, and deaths 1981 - 2001. Due to inconsistencies in pagination and transcription of data, researchers are encouraged to refer to all volumes within each series. (See order of microfilming for a detailed list of these records.)

The records of the Country Posey Garden Club consist of minutes with membership and financial information, scattered correspondence, ribbons, annual program booklets, and scrapbooks with photographs and clippings, ranging from 1947 to 1997.

Collection documents business and personal elements in the life of Great Lakes shipbuilder John Craig. Includes 93 black and white photographs.

The collection dates from 1922 to 1999 and includes bapstism, marriage, death, and membership records.

The Cunningham family papers consist of journals and scrapbooks, with some genealogical information, related to the family of Harriet McKnight Cunningham and Don A. Cunningham, between the years 1930 to 2008. A significant number of letters written between Don and Harriet while Don served in World War II make up the central part of the collection.

Personal papers, scrapbooks, photographs and publications of a Toledo, Ohio defense lawyer active in civil liberties and criminal cases.

The Black Swamp Chapter, D.A.R. collection consists of materials relating to the organization and activities of a patriotic women's group in Bowling Green. The materials are divided by record group and chronologically within the record groups when possible. The materials date inclusively from 1929 to 1983 and include minutes, programs/yearbooks, and various awards.

The Martha Pitkin Chapter, D.A.R. collection consists of materials relating to the organization and activities of a patriotic women's group in Sandusky, Ohio, whose members had ancestors who fought in the American Revolutionary War. The materials date inclusively from 1867 to 2000 and include minutes, programs/yearbooks, and scrapbooks.

The Murray Family collection contains original copies of receipts and other financial documents from David C. Murray, plus copies, photocopies, and transcripts of letters written to David C. Murray from his brother Z.G. Murray. The receipts and financial papers date from 1851-1866. The letters date from 1868-1872. Other materials included are an original Warranty Deed from 1859 and a copy of a Certificate from 1861 which certifies David C. Murray as Treasurer of Wyandot County.

This collection centers around the work of photographer David Hampshire, who served a U.S. Air Force photographer during the Vietnam War and then worked as a Bowling Green State University staff photographer for 3 decades. Also contains photographs and documents from David’s father’s (George Hampshire, Jr.) service in World War II, as well as family photographs dating to the second half of the 19th century.

The David K. Bowers Papers consist of materials related to the military service of David Bowker during the Civil War.

Correspondence, legislation, newspaper columns and news releases from a Ohio General Assembly member who served from 1979-1982.

The David Roller papers contains the lifetime academic works of David C. Roller from 1962-1990. This collection contains correspondence, dissertation drafts, article drafts, supplemental research, and Roller's contributions to the Encyclopedia of Southern History. Roller was a historian on the faculty at Bowling Green State University and focused his dissertation and several academic journal articles on the Republican party of North Carolina at the turn of the twentieth century.

The records of the Defiance Business and Professional Women date from 1931-1982. The collection consists of meeting and board minutes, committee reports, financial documents, scrapbooks, yearbooks, and newsletters.

The records, dating from 1967 to 1975, consist of bylaws, minutes, letters, news clippings, and literary materials.

Records of a Bowling Green, Ohio women's literary and cultural study group organized in 1921, affiliated with the National Delphian Society. Ceased active meetings in 1986, although social activities continued after that date.

The Delphos, Ohio Negative Collection consists of approximately 300 negatives. The majority of the negatives depict scenes and events from the town of Delphos, Ohio during the early part of the 20th century, including portraits, farm scenes, and images copied from prints, postcards, newspapers and books. The collection includes fifty negatives taken in 1951 by the Hoverman Photographic Studio during the Delphos Centennial parade and celebration.

The Delphos Savings & Loan Association records contains minutes of the Board of Directors, journals, ledgers, cash books and correspondence, ranging from 1889-1932.

The records of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Delta Rho Chapter of Perrysburg, Ohio mainly consist of minutes, membership records, executive notebooks, monthly newsletters, and miscellaneous social and special event materials.
