Biographical / Historical
Nelson Eddy (June 29, 1901 – March 6, 1967) was an American baritone and actor who was an active performer of operatic, folk, light opera, and popular songs. Eddy was also in several musical films during the 1930s and 1940s, including several in which he co-starred with Jeanette MacDonald. He was an early example of a classically trained musician becoming a crossover star and was at one time the highest paid singer in the world.
The Nelson Eddy Appreciation Society was a fan club dedicated to the memory of singer and actor Nelson Eddy. The club published a newsletter and disbanded in 2019.
