The Jerry Oster Papers consist of manuscripts for several novels by Jerry Oster, including typed edited manuscripts and galley proofs. Manuscripts include Municipal Bonds, Sweet Justice, Rancho Maria, Nowhere Man, Saint Mike, Club Dead, Internal Affairs, and Fixin to Die.

Biographical / Historical
Jerry Oster was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, in 1943. He received his B.A. in Journalism from Columbia University in 1964. He is a former investigative reporter for United Press International, Reuters, and the New York Daily News. Now a full time writer, he is the author of 18 crime novels, including the Jake Newman mysteries, and lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
