Biographical / Historical

Jane Caputi, Ph.D. is a 1982 graduate of Bowling Green State University, obtaining her Ph.D. in American Culture Studies. She is the author of three books, The Age of Sex Crime (1988); Gossips, Gorgons and Crones: The Fates of the Earth (1993); and Goddesses and Monsters: Women, Myth, Power and Popular Culture (2004). Since 1997, she has been Professor of Women’s Studies and Communication and Multimedia at Florida Atlantic University.
