Biographical / Historical
Leonard London "L.L." Foreman (1901 - 1969) was born in London in 1901. He moved to the United States around 1920, and began writing for pulp magazines in the 1930s. His first published story, "Noose Fodder", appeared in Western Aces in December 1934. He wrote a number of stories featuring the character Preacher Devlin for both Western Aces and Western Story magazines.
As pulp magazines went into decline, Foreman began publishing paperback westerns. Five of his paperbacks were made into films, including The Renegade (1949), which was adapted as The Savage (1952), starring Charlton Heston.
Leonard London Foreman died on September 8, 1969 in Oregon. Rogue's Legacy (1968), the manuscript in this collection, was one of his final books.
