The Chelsea Quinn Yarbro Papers contain manuscript materials, items related to the publishing process, as well as professional and personal correspondence recieved by the author.

Materials in boxes 38-60 were added in 2014, and are only partially processed. These materials are accessible to researchers, but must be reviewed by the archivist prior to use.

Biographical / Historical

Chelsea Quinn Yarbro was born in Berkeley, California, September 15, 1942. She became a professional writer in 1968 and has written more than 70 novels as well as short stories in such genres as horror, western, and science fiction. Yarbro has written under the pen names Quinn Fawcett, Trystam Kith, Terry Nelson Bonner, T. C. F. Hopkins, Camellia Gabor, and Vanessa Pryor.

Yarbro has won awards for her historic and contemporary horror novels and short stories and was the first female president of the Horror Writers Association. She has been active in other areas including music, palm and tarot reading and the occult. Yarbro continues to live and write in Berkeley.
