Scope and Contents

The collection contains literary manuscripts for four novels written by Peggy Moreland. There are copyedited manuscripts for A Sparkle in the Cowboy’s Eyes, The Rancher’s Spittin’ Image, The Restless Virgin, and A Willful Marriage. Galley proofs are included for several of the manuscripts as well. A small number of bookmarks and other promotional pieces are also included.

Biographical / Historical

Peggy Moreland is the pen name of Peggy Morse, née Bozeman, a writer of contemporary romances mostly set in her home state of Texas. She has written more than 40 books, including the series A Piece of Texas, The Tanners of Texas, Texas Brides, Texas Grooms, and Trouble in Texas. She wrote one novel, The Stillman Curse, under the name Peggy Morse.

In 1997 she fulfilled a lifelong dream by competing in her first rodeo and brought home two silver championship buckles, one for Champion Barrel Racer, and a second for All-Around Cowgirl.
