The collection will be of interest to those interested in Dr. Kaufman's work and process as well as the history of feminist humor.

Biographical / Historical

Dr. Gloria Kaufman (1929-2004) served as professor of English and Women’s Studies at Indiana University South Bend from 1967 to 1992. Dr. Kaufman was integral to developing IU South Bend’s Women’s Studies Department. Dr. Kaufman published widely, including articles in numerous publications locally and nationally. In addition, she edited two anthologies of feminist humor: Pulling Our Own Strings: Feminist Humor and Satire in 1980, and In Stitches: A Patch Work of Feminist Humor in 1991.
