Biography

Meg Davis (born January 28, 1953) is an American singer of traditional music, filker, composer, and archivist. She best known for her classic ballad "Captain Jack and the Mermaid." Davis was chosen as the ‘Best Young North American Songwriter’ in 1978 by Peter of Peter, Paul and Mary. She has been nominated for multiple Pegasus awards and won for "Best Classic Filk Song" in 2015.
