Biography

Wail songs was a major seller and publisher of live convention filk tapes founded by Bob Laurent in 1982. While Off Centaur Publications focused mostly on studio publications, Bob wanted to capture more convention performances. The business was incorporated in 1991. It published a songbook, Stave the Wails, in the same year.

Collection consists of remaining audiotape masters from the filk label Wail Songs, which are mostly live performances at filk conventions from the 1980s. In addition to commercially-released material, some of the audiotapes may contain non-album tracks, alternate takes, and other material that was not released commercially.
